Pet Dumping On The Increase

According to statistics from the RSPCA the number of abandoned animal in England and Wales has risen by 57% as pets become victims if the credit crisis in the UK.

Last year 11,586 animals were dumped – that’s more than 30 each day. Unfortunately, in Jan and Feb alone of this year 1,432 were dumped and the number of calls to the RSPCA from owners wanting to give up an animal has risen by 52%.
